Dr. Elisabeth Morris, from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, is part of our Imaging Biomarkers, Radiomics, Radiogenomics, and Imaging biobanks section.
What is your special focus/expertise?
Breast imaging and intervention focusing on new modalities and biomarker assessment.
How did you decide on your specialty?
Breast imaging is a specialty where radiologists can save lives by detecting small breast cancers. The specialty combines the best of both worlds – the ability to diagnose cancer as well as perform minimally invasive interventional procedures all while maintaining interaction with patients.
What is your message to potential authors? Do you have any tips?
Radiology is rapidly changing and we are at the forefront of enormous change. Innovative research, open access and team science will lead us into the future.
