MRI-derived carotid maps may support early management of atherosclerosis

The goal of this study was to determine whether patient-specific and cohort-averaged wall thickness, wall shear stress, and vessel diameter maps can be used for creating 3D estimation models for patient-specific wall thickness in asymptomatic atherosclerotic carotid bifurcations.
