Impact Factor 2024

The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is happy to announce the 2024 Impact Factor (IF) for its journals.

European Radiology Experimental, in its third year of having an IF, reached a score of 3.6 and is now ranked 39 (Q1) within the category.

European Radiology’s 2024 IF stands at 4.7, placing the flagship journal of the ESR at rank 27 within the category “Radiology, Nuclear Medicine & Medical Imaging”, remaining the highest placed ESR Journal in the Q1 of the category.

Lastly, Insights into Imaging reached an IF of 4.5, obtaining rank 29 (Q1) within the category, solidifying its place within the field.

This marks the third consecutive year in which all three ESR Journals are firmly positioned within the Q1 of the category – a truly impressive achievement that is also a testament to all the hard work, dedication and, ultimately, efforts of the Editorial Teams. We are pleased to see that the measures for solidifying the IF that the teams have already undertaken are proving effective, and we are confident they will further strengthen the profile of the journals and maintain their stellar reputation.

The ESR and its leadership would like to extend their gratitude to all authors, readers, reviewers and Editorial Teams for their continuous efforts and dedication. We look forward to continuing working on maintaining the positions of our journals within the field of radiology!
