Shear wave imaging detects endoleaks after aortic repair

The authors used an animal model to evaluate residual endoleak and thrombus organisation with shear wave imaging after endoleak embolisation. Using eight dogs with 16 iliac aneurysms and type I endoleak after endovascular aneurysm repair, the authors concluded that SWI was able to identify endoleak, thrombus maturation, and embolising agents.
